Buddy Returns and Gator in the Bed

Little boy and baby lion

mother's late tonight,

fur ball with a squeaky voice

fighting the night light.

Reach down grab him

be the mom, up here!

In the bed!

Lions work an alligator

when it leaves the water.

The door was locked when dad

went out,

mom had to find her daughter.

When a reptile's in deep water

he is the master gator,

grabs  a lion by the foot

will flip him, eat him later.

Scratching on the window

night time settles down

no sound now,  just resting

fuzzy head turned around.

Inside night and two am

dreams are moving curtains

window is the picture frame

The Scream new work inserted.

Gator smiling at the boy

great big saucer eyes

grin so wide, great teeth

inside, claws for

blood diamond etchings.

Cubby getting  feisty

gator's on the floor

little boy a bed wetter

tail whips have made him so.

He cannot make a sound

right now but his friend

has wheels want down

upon the floor right now!

His paw tips begin flashing.

Teeth arriving on the bed

nearing meat and bone

the little guy spits in his eye

then jumps his pea-brain dome.

Then they hear the biggest roar

they've ever heard before

back door,  kitchen, hallway.

Shoe size eyes the door.

Gators are tremendous

but not out in the woods

in a pond with otters

they graduate to good.

Suddenly it dawns on him

there's nothing here to use

he flashes past the momma

tries for a bathtub view.

Junior's having a great time

chomps down on his tail

gets whipped around

mom bats him off

for awhile he sails.

Reptiles can have issues

someone grabs their throat

Boy's mom comes home

is at the door

the key is coming out.

Here she comes! The room is cool

Buddy watching in the bed,

beloved boy been dreaming

some, awakens

"Where's my cat?!"

He blames it all on Buddy.

"The dog has wet the bed!!"

"He must have had a dream

tonight."

Buddy joyful,

offers his stomach.

Waiting To Reappear

I had a state park pass that was stolen, appaently, off the mirror in my van.  It was a LIFE pass, good for geisers, who do not have enough...
