Lady Bug

All the world's a little bit
compared to what's out there
a microscopic piece of script
a tear flung in the air.

A bubble in a bottle
or lady bug in space
I had one here
my little pet

she nearly was erased.

It was very upsetting
one moment she was here
and then my old fat finger
came down and squashed

her there.

Now I see the world's aflame
countries going down
apparently my little friend
is partying downtown.

All the world's a bitter place
made with bots and bows
bugs that talk about revenge
but are not angry long.

Backed up to a crevasse
I am the mad Baggins
but surely goodness mercy
will help us start again.

My lady wears a helmet now
and runs off when I wave
that's the way we roll
through here

homebound round our lamp shade.
