Rainbow ***
There's a promise in the sky
been there for awhile
calling out the likes of me
naive, Sunday'd and riled.
Weeds will blossom in warm weather
with utter disregard
history, wars and education
beatings and old bars.
There's a promise in a room
with bottles on the wall
sunlight when the doors open
bombs the smoked colors.
If I had a heart would say
you are a brilliant boy
soon your debts will vanish
health return and joy.
All the world's soon dancing
children feeling well
saints arrive Oh Idiot
with lasers ringing bells.
Rain of happy in the sky
riveting wild sounds
cold and sharp
brings better drinks
without the grisled ground.
Ah there was a rainbow once
sweet kiss and dearest smile
laughing beauty cloud bodice
upside down awhile.
Had to reach and grab her
afflicted with strange hope
as the rainbow tumbled down
laughed
plowed weeds eloped.
Some days I say we're going
to Caesar's summer camp
but then my rainbow
smiles again and here we are
revamped!
