Quackers

Quackers

It's a baby duck good morning

rainy dark and cold

the babes should be

inside the barn

heater nearby

turned on.

There is heat in lots of places

but this one is hello

rabbits, rest and rain the ceiling

cracks of light

we grow.

Used to be this weather

was a sad affair

photo next to depression

when Websters was still here.

Now, of course, there's web and verse

hertz to set the vibe

YouTube tour of lots of farms

on the larger side.

I thought to make a note today

the mountains too have tides

this would be the one of mist

requires eyes inside

the one imagines seeing

freedom on the farm

with baby ducks and goats

and springs

and health for all of us.

As the great unknowing

comes to its frightful end

leaves us here and wondering

how best to grow

new friends.

Maybe start with quackers

and then just learn to bend

but never let dictators

come around again.

There's a lot to be said for the quite, simple life. Animals can be calming.

Yes. This is true. But it depends on the animal.

Waiting To Reappear
