The Sandbox

Aged learning goes like this

night a better day

darkness education

rake the sandbox

play.

Be a kid again return

discovering new ways

let the children be adults

and let the elders play.

Dawn no longer calls the shots

the moon is much in charge

circadian rhythm helps

let restless legs forage.

Hours might go slowly

write and then brief rest

time is just a stack of bills

Rockefeller's bet.

Night is day while we see more

town rests we arise

surprised when sunlight comes again

hear car sounds going by.

Maybe hit the frig awhile

find a tasty treat

go out back upon the deck

engage the night

dream weave.

All the thoughts about it

become a brief verse

playing in the sandbox

one young mind at work

Going further back again

searching for ideas

listening to nature

a beach for young ones here.

Waiting To Reappear
