Gnomes are everywhere these days
live in knots in trees
hear them up there whistling
shake me to my knees.
Never knew they were up there
then when my house was built
noticed that the nails were bent
wood gnashed trim trashed
odd smells.
Door knobs all aflutter
don't quite open close
knocks echoing at midnight
the floor creaking

Gnats are rushing round my head
I gnash my teeth at night
found a tube of nitrous
a dental date ...
was nice.
Take my bottle everywhere
labeled it O2
helps me interact with folks
I won an old Gnu.
Forget the bell it knells or not
depending on the gnome
but my place is doing well
Who Gnu loves its new home.
It pays to have a dentist
can't always fix my teeth
but always shares a tank or two
mint floss sweet tongue relief.
