Jethro Tull

We're on our way to somewhere else

having spent too long

in a place where people count

their change and then sit down.

Though we did the moon today

ran a tab up there

tapped some friends

Venusians

they're back for dinner here.

Everything is changing

no one tells a lie

except the old politicos

the rest just smoke awhile.

I'm trying to do better

seldom share remarks

but I write and make things up

surely artistic license?

Do it for a reason

trying to get old

old enough for

a new bod

trading on this one.

Days of playing over baby

sacrificing life

for family genetics

hung up on the line.

Domestic is for donuts

and his merry band

running around the

neighborhood

tapping his gas can.

I loved mine in the 70's

rock man in the snow

minus ten no hat or gloves

car won't start walk home.

Nobody would play the game

most snuck back in and bowed

when vaca was over

threw in the greasy towel.

But now it's time for action

stirring up the bars

no one wants dementia

they're down here treating ours.

Someday we'll be young again

and this place won't be

we're going to scrape it

to the bone

then do the old bat thing.

Like I said this sumna bitch

the worse place in the yard

constellations worm holes

new kind of locked collars.

Let's run away forever

sixty years or so

find ourselves back here again

freezing in the snow.

You and me my brother

down through the ages

friends

in the early morning

sidewalk smoking again.

Waiting To Reappear

I had a state park pass that was stolen, appaently, off the mirror in my van.  It was a LIFE pass, good for geisers, who do not have enough...
