Birds And Bees Lawn Tool And Rings

Each day begins much like the last

with sun and bright bird songs

Oh yes they sing as well do wives

who often hum along.

Reminds one of the birds and bees

old man remembers wishes

confabulating memories

bees nests, lawn tools and kisses.

He tries now to remember

his fantasies run quick

away, away so far away

Oh have a nice porridge.

As she enters smiling

after a long bath

now in the kitchen baking

then eggs and bacon

Lass!

Just the way he likes them

now energized  more fun

afternoon will be here soon

quite sure his luck's not done.

Old man jokes abounding

watch out for heart attacks!

If she dies, she dies

he says

Oh go delusive Jack!

There's humming

in the kitchen

ice echoes

through the frig

like a starter pistol

whizzing past his head.

Where has she gone

this morn?

he writes

let's read to her our poem

treat her to the wonders of

the poet and his words

then paddles off to find her

resting on the spread

as whispering his verses

big pillows bust his head!

 Each day begins

much like the last

except the ones

broadcast.

De-lighted in the afternoon

bruised about the head

kicked and swept away

he laughs

birdies in the bedroom

now rope-a-dope instead.

Waiting To Reappear

I had a state park pass that was stolen, appaently, off the mirror in my van.  It was a LIFE pass, good for geisers, who do not have enough...
